Osage Street manhole overflows twice during June 2023 storms
The City reported that a manhole at 5601 S. Osage Street overflowed on June 1, 2023 after five lift stations backed up, releasing about 980,000 gallons, and overflowed again on June 2 during heavy rain, releasing an estimated 50,000 gallons of untreated wastewater. TCEQ was notified. These were collection-system overflows, separate from the Hollywood Road plant spills the same week.[1][2]
