City issues letter of intent on water delivery for the Fermi campus
In a letter to Parkhill Smith & Cooper, the engineer designing water delivery for the campus, Assistant City Manager Donny Hooper stated the City had current capacity to deliver 2.5 MGD of potable water from its Carson County Well Field once pipeline was built, and anticipated a total of 5.5 MGD by 2026 with developer-built expansion. The letter also addressed a sewer connection to the Northeast Interceptor and possible future effluent supply from the Hollywood Road plant.[1][2]

The letter also said the City agreed to facilitate a connection to its Northeast Interceptor for the development's domestic sewer needs (as a sewer tap request) and would explore future agreements to supply effluent from the Hollywood Road Wastewater Treatment Plant, contingent on developer-built infrastructure and an evaluation of the City's available capacity.[1]
