Council approves 5-0 the $1.9 million sale of the garage's commercial space to Llano Group
On September 12, 2023 the City Council voted 5-0 to approve a commercial contract selling the 22,169 square feet of commercial space in the Amarillo Local Government Corporation parking garage at 600 S. Buchanan to Llano Group, LLC for $1,900,000.[1]

On September 12, 2023 the City Council voted 5-0 to approve the sale of 22,169 square feet of commercial space within the downtown parking garage at S. Buchanan Street and SE 6th Avenue to Llano Group, LLC for $1,900,000, on a motion by Councilmember Les Simpson seconded by Councilmember Josh Craft; voting yes were Josh Craft, Tom Scherlen, Cole Stanley, Les Simpson and Don Tipps. Interim City Manager Andrew Freeman presented the item. [1]
